Box Moths reach Canada
The citizen science website iNaturalist.org posted that Karen Yukich sighted the box tree moth on 25th August 2018 in Toronto, Canada.

Weekly survey of box at Ham House

Vaux-le-Vicomte removing boxwood
Alexandre de Vogüé in an interview with Le Figaro has said that due to fungal disease & box tree caterpillars, the boxwood in the two southern flower beds will be removed.
ALERT – Second Flight of Moths Started
The second flight of the Box Moth has started – given they start laying eggs just days after they start flying, you need to be on the look out for small caterpillars which will hatch a few days after being laid.

2nd Wave of Caterpillars Starts
The eggs laid by the box tree moths that have been flying for the last month are now hatching into hungry caterpillars.
South of France Moth Update
Reports of the damage to boxwood plants in the South of France are coming in with unsettling regularity. The devastation caused appears to be even higher than last year, due to the number of caterpillars that over wintered.
Propagating the National Collection
Work continues on improving the health of the buxus plants in the National Collection, including propagating the rarer varieties.
