Rodmarton Manor Lecture Days
Our Garden Lecture Days will be held in the historic Arts and Crafts Manor House at Rodmarton. Each day begins at 10.30am with coffee and tea before the first talk at 11.00am. A delicious two course lunch with wine and elderflower will then be served with time to explore the garden before the second lecture starts at 2.00pm. The days will end at around 3.30 to 4.00pm with tea and homemade cake.
Garden Design is Not Witchcraft
James Alexander-Sinclair
James uses his years of experience to unravel and explain how good design can change your life, or at least your garden. A few tricks of the trade, some good case studies and something for everybody no matter how large or small your garden.
James began his career as a landscape contractor in London before moving to the English countryside in 1992. Since then he has designed private and public gardens both large and small throughout the UK and occasionally beyond. He has had an illustrious career as a television presenter for RHS Chelsea Flower Show and holds the position of Vice President and Gardens Judge.

Greener Gardening or Keeping Pests at Bay the Natural Way
Pippa Greenwood
Pippa takes us through helpful and informative ideas for avoiding and sorting out common garden pests and problems without using chemicals. She encourages you to bring plant and pest samples with you. Nothing too large or contagious please!
Having achieved her BSc hons in Botany at Durham University Pippa went on to join the staff at RHS Wisley where she ran the Plant Pathology Department answering several thousand queries from gardeners every year.
For 27 years Pippa has been a regular panellist on the BBC’s Radio 4 Gardener’s Question Time. Her television career also included being a presenter on BBC Gardener’s World. She is also the author of many informative books, her latest being ‘Gardener’s Year’.
