BBC Countryfile talks boxwood
When EBTS UK’s appeared on BBC Gardeners World, we suggested that Countryfile might be interested in the effect the box tree caterpillar and moth will have on our native boxwood stands. This weeks programme was based in Buckinghamshire and they visited the Wormsley Estate, owned by the Getty family, where EBTS UK has been facilitating trials of box moth deterrents.
Margherita Taylor talked with boxwood timber expert and friend of the Society, Huw Crompton, about the potential impact of an infestation in the Chiltern’s which hold some of the last boxwood woodlands in the UK.
