Winner of the European Garden Book Award, 2018, Topiary, Knots and Parterres by Caroline Foley MA, editor of Topiarius, was published for the German edition, Die Gestaltung der Natur, in the same year and has now been translated into French by Lucie and Bernard Leprêtre for a beautiful new edition published by Ysec.
This lavishly illustrated book, originally co-editioned by EBTS UK with Pimpernel Press, covers the history of topiary from the Romans to the Italian and French Renaissance (along with all the glories of Versailles), through the Tudors and Stuarts, Dutch Golden Age, Arts and Crafts and finally to some of today’s leading designers.
