New distributor for Betterbuxus® in the UK

The good news is that Belgium based Herplant BV will be partnering with Plantmarket BV to distribute their blight resistant Buxus hybrids in the UK. This follows Plantmarket’s acquisition of the Boningale Group, including Boningale Nurseries, Viridis Plants and Worfield Plants, last summer. The distribution and promotion of Betterbuxus® will be handled by Viridis Plants, which has extensive experience in high-quality garden projects. The resistant properties of Betterbuxus® should fit perfectly with Viridis Plants’ aims for high quality garden plant production at their midland’s based nursery.

It’s hoped that this deal will increase availability of the new Buxus hybrids that are resistant to box blight and less susceptible to damage from the box tree caterpillar.

Betterbuxus® is the trade name of fungus-resistant Buxus hybrids developed by Herplant BV. These innovative varieties are marketed exclusively in Europe and the UK by selected distributors.
