Professionals day of clipping at Ichi-Coo Park
0830 on the morning of Saturday 11 April saw me joining 14 professional clippers at Ichi-Coo Park near Charlwood, on the Surrey/Sussex border for a day of shaping hedges and topiary. What was unusual about the day was that we were all at the same garden at the same time rather than the usual situation where we are working on our own.
Robin Redmile-Gordon, owner of the amazing garden arranged the day so we could swap ideas, chat and at the same time get the garden ready for ClipFest26 which is coming on 13 June. I’ll be there along with some other EBTS UK members showing people how to clip and answering questions about boxwood and topiary. This was particularly useful for me as I was able to meet some of our EBTS UK Pro Gardener members, people I normally only get to interact with through email & Instagram, so it was great to talk with them face to face – Will from Excelsis Gardens , Grant from Grant Horticulture, Will from WH Garden Services, Nick from Nick Waters Topiarist and Phil from Tip-Top-Topiary. A really big thank you to Robin & Becky for arranging the day and keeping us fed throughout the day.
I think the pictures below, courtesy of Jonathan Ward of Ginger Horticulture, say it all about the quality of the work done and if you need help with your hedges or topiary, pop over to our Company Profiles pages to find a member in your area that can sort things out for you.
