If you haven’t already spotted it, EBTS UK members Charlotte & Donald Molesworths garden has a great write up in the December 2016 edition of ‘The English Garden’.
Mark Braimbridge 1924-2016
The EBTS was deeply saddened to learn of the death on October 31st of its Founder and first Chairman, Mark Braimbridge at the age of 92. Mark, a leading heart surgeon, one of the pioneers of open heart surgery, turned his attention to helping his wife, Elizabeth, on his retirement and so became involved in horticulture.

This sumptuously illustrated book about the treasures of the Waddesdon Bequest is a breathtaking treasure in itself. The bequest is housed in the British Museum and the book marks its move to a specially created new gallery.
Beautiful Bath
Iford Manor has a house and garden to die for. If ever there was a house and garden that was in a perfect setting, surely this must be it. The both are settled comfortably into the side of a valley that looks down over the gently curving River Frome.
New Chairman announced
During the celebrations of 20th years of EBTS, Mark Hopkins announced that Chris Poole would become Chairman of EBTS UK subject to ratification at the next AGM.
EBTS 20th Anniversary Party
In 1996 the inaugural meeting of EBTS was held at Dorney Court near Windsor, 20 years on it was time to celebrated the societies achievements. There was a full day of talks, music, good food and most of all great company of founding friends to new members.
The Old Rectory – Take Two
In April EBTS visited some great gardens in Surrey – unfortunately the weather wasn’t brilliant, in fact it was very wet at times. So by special request Topiarius Editor, Caroline Foley and I went to visit Trudie Proctor at The Old Rectory for a second look at the garden.
Tour of the Cotswolds
We all meet up at Rockcliffe Gardens, where Emma Keswick the owner and designer of the garden showed us round. It is a stunning garden even in the rather damp weather that greeted us at the start of the visit.
